I never have anything good to write anymore. =(
Side note: When I typed "good", I originally wrote "food".
GUESS WHAT I'M THINKING ABOUT!

Oh, hello
Hi there, blog. Not much to chat about.
I'm home alone for the night for like the first time in nearly four years. So I'm gonna get chocolate wasted (without any chocolate) and try to survive with WoW and Netflix.
So far, so good.
Also, I'm YouTubing kittens. Don't hate.

Well then..
Eh, I had this big awkward post I wanted to write, but it pertains to work. And because of where I work, I don't think it would be appropriate to post all the weird events that happened today.
But wow, all I can say is, it's getting weird.
Really, really, really weird.
Not work itself, but awkward situations and some people.
So, yeah. That's my post.

Want.
I want sushi. Like so bad.
Why must the closest sushi place be 45 minutes away!?
=(
Sad fugi face!
(Side note, I've used that phrase twice today.)

Tasty
Well, today was much better.
Aside from the fact I slept maybe five hours total last night. That's less hours than I worked today. Ugh.
My Mother came over and cooked me crab cakes with corn. It was delicious. She also presented me with a bottle of Gnarly Head Cabernet, so that was nice. We talked about books, and how she's amazed that she likes any book I recommend to her. (Harry Potter, Hunger Games). I introduced her to His Dark Materials, she didn't get the concept, but I think she'll like it. She usually likes sappy stories or lawyer stories or murder mysteries or something. Bleh. As much as I love the criminal justice system, I cannot stand books about it. I'd rather documentaries.

Speaking of nerd.
I downloaded Netflix on the PS3 yesterday. The first thing I watched was a documentary on solitary confinement about inmates. It was fascinating, yet strangely depressing. The people who spent 13 years in solitary forgot basic social skills and couldn't interact with large crowds of people anymore. One guy, after being release from prison, attacked a random guy in a store because he thought the dude was following him. He really wasn't, but it was just the crowds of people and the stress it brought just made him snap. And a lot of people develop social disorders because of solitary confinement.
So fascinating!
And, I didn't know America was one of the only countries left that actually supported solitary confinement.
Still fascinating!
Annnnd, end /nerd.
Tomorrow Mom, sister, and I are looking at wedding shoes. Sounds interesting, right? Shopping and shoes... not my two favorite things.
I'm probably going to pick some flats. Because we all know I'm clumsy in anything over an inch of height in heels. Ooh boy.

Annoying
For the past two days, there have been "severe weather warnings". And for both days, the sun was out and shining when these alerts appeared.
And the most we got was like ten minutes of torrential downpours. Silly. Well, at least for Kaplan. Apparently, Lafayette got some hail, like the forecast mentioned. All that hail happened while my Dad was helping my sister move. Perfect timing, right?
Oh yeah, it looked something like this:
This was actually on our way home from New Orleans last weekend. But still. It was so dark!
Any plans for the 4th of July, you may ask? Just going to my Mother's house. Her crazy driving husband is grilling. I'm assuming steaks or hamburgers. Something so American, I'll say, "WOW! That's so American!"
Ok, not really.
Over and out.
